Elevator with 12 people despenca 9 meters in hospital in Grande SP

A lift despencou this Sunday (18) about nine meters in height - the ground floor until the second underground - at least 12 people in a private hospital in Barueri, in Greater Sao Paulo, according to information from the Fire Brigade of Barueri.

Extra-officially, an official of the secretariat of the hospital confirmed the 12 victims, but not spent more information. The direction of the hospital has not yet been expressed about the accident.

A police office in Central Barueri said that was in place and was informed by municipal guards that 12 people were taken off the elevator after the accident. According to the police, the lift will be submitted to expertise that vai investigating the causes of the fall.

Also according to the fire, only two of the victims had more serious injuries - a machucou the knee and another fraturou the leg. The others are well. Fire fighters still do not know the causes of the accident, if there was weight than the allowable limit or a defect in the lift.

The victims were visiting relatives and friends in hospital and were answered on the spot - the 17h, they were still under observation in hospital, according to firefighters. The accident happened around 15h of this Sunday and three teams of firefighters were sent to hospital.
