Petrobras surpassed Microsoft has, becoming the third largest company on the American continent in the market value (sum of the value of their shares), according to consultancy Economática released this Monday (19).
The survey took as a basis the stock price of companies in last Friday (16), when the Petrobras had a market value of approximately $ 287.2 billion, against $ 279.3 billion of the largest software world.
On that day, preferred shares of Petrobras closed quoted at R $ 48.15, while shares worth $ 57.90. Already the roles of Microsoft closed worth $ 29.99 each.

In the ranking of the largest companies in America in market value, apart from Petrobras, listed as other Brazilian CVRD, in ninth place with $ 196.5 billion, and Bradesco, with $ 67.2 billion in the forty-third position.
The only Mexican company to appear in the ranking is the operator of phone America Movil, with U.S. $ 99 billion, with twenty-ninth position. First on the list was the largest oil company in the world, Exxon Mobil, with value estimated at U.S. $ 489.6 billion.
